Motivation to Exercise

1. Feels Good:
Feeling the sweat of my body, the pumping of my heart and the slight aching of my muscles is music to my ears. My showers always feel much better after a workout too.

2. It Does Good:
Doing one part of my overall health goals lets me know that I did something in my present to ensure a quality future.

3. Looks Good:
I don't know if this has something to do with being a woman, but I definitely enjoy seeing my reflection when I pass a mirror.

4. I'm a Role Model:
Whether I want to believe it or not, by exercising, I'm role modeling for my friends and family. If they can see or hear that I'm working out, it may help them feel motivated to do it too.

5. "Don't know what you got, till it's gone:"
There were times where I had followed all the fitness and health plans and I had the best body to show for it. I don't want to take advantage of my best body anymore. I want to maintain it.

6. It's FUN!
There are so many Workout DVDs, YouTube Videos and Exercise Flashcards that make working out a lot of fun. When I have some free time, I almost always try to find a new workout to add to my collection. Just do a YouTube Search of "Dance Workouts" or "Pilates" or "Dumbbells" or even "Workouts at Home" and you will find a workout that suits you and your lifestyle.
