Don't Let Life Get in the Way of Your Dreams

Whether it's people, circumstances or your health preventing you from living your dreams please don't blame them or yourself. The way I see it is, life is "doing life." It's going to do whatever it wants whenever it wants and changes everyone's lives if it needs to. If things don't quite fall into your plan you can either fight it or adapt to it.

Below are just some of my circumstances that I never thought would happen:

  • At a very young age I thought I would always be a foster child but then I was adopted.
  • My adoptive mother had passed away before I was a teenager. I thought I had lost a best friend but then I found one in my father.
  • After I graduated from high school, I didn't think I was good enough to be accepted to go to college. I attended my first class at age 25 and graduated at 26! It was an intensive course.
  • Now, I have aspirations to start and own a childcare facility. What am I doing now about it? I'm taking things slow. I try to read anything and everything that has to do with small businesses and childcare facilities. I'm actually interested in learning about secretarial work. That idea was inspired by one of my friends who just graduated from a 15 month course. Lastly, I talk to anyone who will listen to my ideas which in turn they tell me about their dreams and we brainstorm ideas.
I hope you found this post inspiring and please take a look at what Dr. Seuss has to say about life:
